My Weekly Natural Hair Wash Routine

The night before I wash my hair I detangle it with an inexpensive conditioner. I've found the best way for me to detangle; since my hair is growing out; is to section it into 8 sections.  2 at the very top of my head; 1 on each side; beginning at the tip of my ears forward, and 4 in the back of my head; 2 on each side.  Once I've sectioned my hair using elastic hair bands (this process is aka mini pineapples or just pineapple for those  with longer hair.  The longer your hair; the fewer pineapples needed.)  I finger detangle then re-band each section. After finger detangling is complete; I wear a plastic cap, and satin cap, or sleep on satin pillowcase for the night.  Sometime the next day; usually in the A.M. hours; I rinse the conditioner from my hair; with the hair bands still in place, (I take them out; if I feel that I  have detangled really well; I will take them out, and put them back in after the rinse.)  Taking down 1 hair band at a time; I apply leave-in conditioner and  style; usually in 2 strand twist  or finger coils.
I do the above routine 3 times a month, and the 4th week I follow the same procedures, but once I rinse the conditioner out, I wash my hair with African Black Soap.  Once the black soap is rinsed out; I add protein rich conditioner; cover my hair with a plastic cap and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.  Next; I rinse  the protein conditioner and add a leave-in conditioner, and style as usual.
This routine works for me right now; next week, month, year; this routine may change.  I researched and found my routine on YouTube.  I tweeked it to fit me.  Check out my pictures below.
