Small World - Is That Who I Think It Is?

My husband and I were hanging out with his cousin; helping her move into her new home.  She told me about this guy she met online last June.  They hadn't met yet, but would be meeting tomorrow.   We came back, the next evening to hook-up a dvd  player.   My husband stepped in the house first with the dvd player and headed straight for the TV; which was on the right side of the room.   As I was walking up to the door I saw this figure that I assumed was her nephew.   In my mind I was debating whether to ask him about his recent illness, but decided against it.   I stepped through the door and focused in on the figure's face.  The words that cross my mind and past my lips were the same; "Small World, Small World.   That's my Ex-Husband!"  My current husband on my right kneeling down working on the TV/DVD, and my ex-husband; whom l haven't seen or talked to in about 15+ years  and my husband's cousin standing to the left  of me looking shocked.  My husband got up and shook my ex's hand, and they both said..."what's up man" and then he knelt back down and completed setting up the TV/DVD.  I repeat; Small World!; Small World! :-/
