I Am A Member of the Shred Nation w/Dr. Ian Smith

I began "The SHRED Revolutionary DIET" a week ago Monday; surprizingly It has been pretty easy to follow the plan; so far.  There are step by step menus giving choices on what foods can be eaten at each meal.  I never get hungry, and I have very few cravings. I'm eating a meal every 3 to 4 hours and a snack in between those meals.  The plan does require 30 minutes exercise atleast 5 days a week, and drinking a cup of water before and with each meal (two cups total).  I weighed in a week ago Tuesday evening because I don't own a working scale in my home.  If I did own a scale it would be like a drug to me; it would be calling me everyday, several times a day to weigh in.  So; my best bet is to continue using the scale at my place of employment; this will allow me to have more will power to only weigh in once a week ;-).

The actual "Shred Revolutionary Diet" book  was given to me as a gift by a fellow "Shreder" (A Shreder is a person following the Shred diet plan).   He was excited about the success he was having thus far.  This diet is measured in 7 day intervals (a week); each week has slightly different menu choices, and  each 6 week period is called a phase.  If you haven't lost all the weight you want in 6 weeks; you can start another phase.  My fellow Shredder was just starting on the 6th week of his 1st phase, and there was no denying his increased confidence, and decreased waistline.

When I have reached my 6 week point; I'm going to pay it forward and give the gift of " The Shred Revolutionary Diet" to a friend.  I believe this would be a great time to give the gift because at this point the receiver of this gift will be able to see my success (naming and claiming),  and be more excited and willing to give the plan a try.

Stay tuned for my weekly updates on Shreding my extra weight and monthly updates on Growing my locs....

Thanks,

1st Update:

Cycle 1, Week 1, Weight Loss - 6 pounds

Two days ago Monday was the end of my first week on The Shred Diet Plan.   I slipped up a couple of times and ate a little skin on fried chicken.  The Plan called for your meat not to be fried, but a couple of times fried was all I had.  I don't recommend anyone else doing this; just imagin how much more weight I could have lost if I had'nt had that fried chicken :-(

I could've done better on my exercise.  London (my 3 year old yorkie-female) and I walked a couple of blocks on 3 days; in week 2 I plan to exercise the recommended 5 days a week.

Cycle 1, Week 2, Weight Loss - 2 pounds

Cycle 1, Week 3, Weight Loss - 2 pounds

Week two went off with no problems; follow the plan to the letter. (except exercise :-/ )

Week three had more smoothies in it, and I'm using that as my excuse to why I slipped up and ate pizza on day 6.  Although I had that litle slip up; I returned to doing the plan by the letter on day seven, and lost two pounds for the week. Yeah!

Cycle 2, Week 4 Weight Loss - 2 pounds

Sorry I have been MIA, but in my 1st clycle I lost 16 lbs  total.  My 2nd cycle I haven't been exactly going by the script but I have lost 4 lbs; for a total of 20 lbs.  For an average of 1 lb per week.  I've also started this gluten free project.  I am finding it difficult and expensive to combine the two diets.  It's been two weeks since I started my gluten free diet; I'm sure they'll interact as soon as I change out all my foods that contain gluten and find a good place to buy them.  Walmart has a limited selection of gluten products; so I'm going to try Kroger and see what they have to offer.  I'll be back soon with my progress.  Pray for me please.

I have not been faithful to my Shread Nation life style :-( I have been hovering around 20, 21 & 22 pounds lost. Got to get back focused. I am going by the plan, but not strictly. I eat my meals and snacks at the interval they should be eaten but many of my choices are questionable :-/ I'm drinking the required water, and exercising some. I weigh-In every Monday; that's how I know where I am hovering. That's all for now; will return with my Monday weigh-in results on monday; gain :-( or loss :-) Sunday, September 08, 2013
